THE PPF in Auckland specialises in paint protection film for your vehicle. We take extra steps to ensure maximum coverage for your car, not just using template patterns, but “hybrid patterns”, where we modify patterns to provide the best fit possible.
During our installation process, we remove badges and lettering, trims, door handles, and other relevant parts, to give you the most complete and seamless film application possible. This is important as it minimises edges which can trap dirt, or be lifted during grooming. Not having an outline around badges also looks better.

What is PPF?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) was originally developed by the military in the 1960s to protect helicopters blades from damaged caused by sand in desert combat. It has since been developed into a high-quality invisible film that can be applied to cars, motorbikes and any surfaces you want to protect
10 Awesome Benefits of Paint Protection Film
1. Protect against STONE CHIPS
Stone chips are unavoidable, especially on New Zealand roads. Once your vehicle’s paint is chipped, the only way to get it back to original condition is | by repainting the panel. Unfortunately, even the best repairers can not match factory paint, and touch ups are still noticeable. Your best solution is to prevent chips from happening in the first place, which is why PPF is so important.

2. Protect against Swirl Marks
Swirl Marks are very light scratches on a paint surface, which look like spider webs on your vehicle. They are commonly caused by improper or careless car washing. PPF will prevent this damage from appearing on your paintwork, and marks that appear on the PPF itself will disappear as it is sell-healing.
3. Protect against Dings
Another common issue is door dings. Every time you park at a restaurant, shopping mall, or grocery store carpark, there is a chance of | someone hitting your car door when they are opening theirs. PPF will reduce the risk of paint damage caused by this.

4. Retains Original Factory Paintwork
Often the only way of repairing paint damage is by repainting the panel. Unfortunately, most paint shops or repairers are unlikely to achieve a factory finish. Most of the time, there will be clear inconsistencies between a repainted panel and an original one, despite the blending required during a repaint process. The best thing is to retain the vehicle’s original factory paintwork. PPF is | your best solution for reducing the risk of paint damage. This in turn increases your vehicle’s resale value.
5. Self Healing
THE PPF’s Paint protection films have self-healing properties. The multiple layers in the film cohesively protect vehicle’s paint work and heal surface-level damage. Minor scratches, like ones caused by improper cleaning and detailing techniques disappear either over time, or almost instantaneously with heat.
6. Provides Invisible Protection
Paint Protection Film is nearly invisible without close inspection. At THE PPF, we go a step further by creating our own patterns for maximum coverage, wrapping around all viable edges, and getting as close to edges we can’t wrap around as possible. We are obsessed with achieving the perfect finish on every single job, and are very proud of this.

7. Prevents Damage from Chemical
Not only does PPF protect against physical impacts, it also protects against chemical and environmental damage. Chemical damage can come in the form of bird droppings, bug splatters, and plant material. These are unavoidable, and the only way to remove the leftover stain is by cutting away a thin layer of your vehicle’s clear coat. PPF removes the need to do this.
8. Protects Against Fading
The number one cause of faded car paint work is sunlight. The sun’s harsh UV rays affect the pigment in car paint and can slowly break it down and cause it to oxidise. Over time, the paint work will become visibly dull, rough and, in more extreme cases, may even flake off in patches. THE PPF’s paint protection film blocks harmful UV rays like our window tinting film, thus preventing discolouration of your car paint.
9. Enhancing the Appearance of Your Car
THE PPF offers not only Gloss Finish Paint Protection Film, but also a silky Satin Finish PPF, which can also be applied to gloss paint work. Satin PPF shows off creases and curves that are previously hidden by gloss paintwork’s reflections, therefore enhancing the appearance of your car. Not only that, in a sea of mostly gloss cars, your pride and joy will definitely stand out. If you prefer your paint gloss however, our Gloss Finish PPF offers an incredibly deep shine, with minimal orange peel effect.

10. Ten Years Warranty
When you invest in Paint Protection Film with THE PPF, you have 10 years of worry-free motoring. When you want to refresh the film, in most cases it can bel removed without damaging your paint, and new film can be applied.
